Visit the courtyard, the balcony and the rooms of Verona’s most romantic house.

Juliet’s House is a medieval tower house on Via Cappello, linked for centuries with the story of Romeo and Juliet. Look up at the famous balcony, then explore rooms of paintings and mementos, including the bed from Franco Zeffirelli’s 1968 film.

Facilities

Facilities can change through the year. Visitors can usually expect:

  • Places to pause in the courtyard.
  • Cafés and restaurants in the streets around Via Cappello.
  • Piazza delle Erbe and its market a short walk away.
  • Staff on hand to help with directions.

Travel light: the rooms and stairs are small, and bags can be awkward. Ask staff about current arrangements when you arrive.

Accessibility

Juliet’s House is a medieval building with stairs between its floors and some narrow passages.

  • Check arrangements for your particular mobility or access needs before travelling.
  • If you are bringing a stroller, confirm the current arrangements before arrival.
  • Ask museum staff for assistance or directions during your visit.
