Useful stops along the way

Facilities can change through the year. Visitors can usually expect:

  • Staff on hand to help with directions.
  • Piazza delle Erbe and its market a short walk away.
  • Places to pause in the courtyard.
  • Cafés nearby around Via Cappello for refreshments.

Travel light: the rooms and stairs are small, and bags can be awkward. Ask staff about current arrangements when you arrive.

Enjoy the house thoughtfully

  • Keep to the visitor paths, walk rather than run, and supervise children.
  • Leave walls, paintings and objects untouched, and do not write or stick notes on the historic walls.
  • Smoking and animals are not permitted on the site.
  • Commercial photography and filming, including product promotion, need permission.
  • Follow the signs and staff guidance, including any restrictions in the exhibition spaces.

A little care helps protect the house and its atmosphere for everyone.
