Look up. Many rooms have cedar ceilings painted with geometric and floral patterns, framed by carved beams and cornices.

Carved stucco

Plaster carved into fine geometric and calligraphic bands frames doorways, arches and the tops of walls. Notice how the patterns change from room to room.
