What to See at the Palais Garnier

Take time for the Grand Staircase, the foyers and the auditorium.

Staircase and Grand Foyer

Begin with the Grand Staircase, then walk the long, gilded Grand Foyer with its painted ceilings, chandeliers and windows over the Avenue de l’Opéra.

The auditorium

When rehearsals allow, look into the red-and-gold auditorium, its great chandelier and Marc Chagall’s painted ceiling. Access to the auditorium is never guaranteed.
