Explore the Grand Staircase, gilded foyers and red-and-gold auditorium of Paris’s great opera house.

Charles Garnier designed the opera house that opened in 1875 at the heart of Haussmann’s Paris. Climb the marble Grand Staircase, walk the Grand Foyer and, when rehearsals allow, look into the auditorium beneath Marc Chagall’s painted ceiling.
